About the event
With a professional baseball career spanning over two decades, Coach Connell now leverages more than 10 years of coaching expertise. Initially signed by the Angelenos of California and Aguilas de Zulia in Venezuela, his distinguished 20-season career in Venezuela includes four championships with Aguilas de Zulia—three as a player and one as a coach. He also participated in three Caribbean Series, notably clinching the championship in the 2004-2005 season.
Transitioning to coaching, he commenced his career with the Philadelphia Phillies organization, serving as a batting coach at their Williamsport and Lakewood affiliates for three years. In Venezuela, he held coaching positions with Tiburones de la Guaira, Bravos de Margarita, and Aguilas de Zulia.
Since 2015, he has filled various coaching roles in the Mexican Professional Baseball League, including stints as manager, bench coach, and hitting coach. He has worked with multiple teams across both the Summer Mexican Baseball League and the Winter Mexican Pacific League.
